Demonstrating the highest level of football performance on the field of play. The recipient receives $1,500.00 toward continuing education. Vince was born Dec. 5, 1956 in Newport Beach, CA., died April 2, 2009 in Marin County, CA. Beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, mentor and teammate, Vince graduated NHHS in 1975; B.A., Stanford University, 1979 (Academic All-American, winner of Stanford’s prestigious J. Wallace Sterling Award and finalist for a Rhodes Scholarship); MBA, Harvard University, 1984. In addition to his career in real estate, he was involved in social work including Mama Hope servicing groups in the developing world. Vince played for Newport Harbor on the 1973, 74 Sunset League Champion and CIF Large Schools Quarter Finals and Semi Finals teams. His skills at wide receiver earned him All Sunset League, All Orange County, and All CIF first team honors. Competing in track at Newport, Vince currently holds 3 Newport Harbor records in the decathlon, varsity mile relay, and frosh soph 440 yard relay. He was voted track MVP in 1975. Vince also served as Newport Harbor High Senior Class President. Stanford University awarded Vince a full athletic scholarship in football where he startedfor the Cardinals 1975 – 1978, under Coach Bill Walsh where he was instrumental in the Stanford Blue Bonnet Bowl Game victory.
