The Newport Harbor Sailors will take on Governor Wallace Rider Farrington High School (“Governors”) on Friday night 7pm local time (10pm PST). It will be game #3 for Farrington, who enter the game with a 1-1 record. Hawaii starts their football season earlier than the Sunset League starts theirs.
Whether or not the game will be streamed is still unknown. We are working with the district and the AD of Farrington to see if that’s possible (check social media for update).
The Sailors arrived HNL Airport on Sunday and have had a few days to acclimate to the weather and time difference. The team travels with a 93-player roster, the largest number of kids in the program since… well a long time. We’ll need a stat check on that.
